Welcome to my website! My name is Johanna (say the “h”). I am an artist and animal communicator. Think of me as your translator.

My childhood religion taught us “animals don’t have souls.” My animals were my best friends, so I was deeply offended by this. It became my personal mission to prove it wrong.

New clients often ask me how I discovered that I could talk to animals.  I always tell them about my “epiphany moment” that convinced me telepathic communication is real:

I used to travel the country training sport horses for a living. One was a talented jumper named Femme Fatale.  During a ride one day, Femme started rearing. She had never done this before, so I went through my mental checklist, trying to figure out what could be wrong.  I was sitting on her, stumped, when a strong image came into my mind.  It was the underside of a hoof: the V-shaped middle part we call the frog.  I also received an impression about which hoof it was. I hopped off, picked up the foot, and checked, but it looked normal.  I then got another specific impression—that there was an infection in the frog, and that I could easily find it with a little digging.  So I went and grabbed my hoof knife and peeled back a bit of frog.  A small abscess erupted and drained, which was gross but satisfying.  I got back on, and Femme went completely back to normal—no more rearing. This was the moment I realized that my training ideas were more than just empathy or lucky guesses.  There was no way I could have guessed something so specific and invisible.  Femme had very clearly explained what the problem was, and what she needed me to do about it.

From there, it was like unearthing an ancient language. When I created a pet portrait, tamed a feral kitten, or rode a horse, I connected to their energy. I received mental images, emotions, and even memories. I learned to distinguish their thoughts from mine.

I then studied animal communication with my mentor, Morgan Ehlenbeck of Equus Esoterica. She taught me how to connect accurately from a distance, and how to bring spiritual messages from the animals (including passed animals). Their “internet” is more advanced than ours—they speak easily across both sides of the veil!

I used to promise the horses under my care: “I will be your voice.” Now, I have the honor of holding sessions for all types of animals and their people, all over the world!
